About Oceania Wood Pellets

Turning New Zealand's forestry challenge into a sustainable energy opportunity

Company Overview

Oceania Wood Pellets Ltd. (OWP) was founded in 2025 and is headquartered in New Zealand. Led by European experts with decades of industry experience, we specialize in developing large-scale, world-class wood pellet plants focused on producing "white" (non-torrefied) wood pellets—the global industry standard.

Our primary focus is addressing New Zealand's domestic process heat needs while tackling the challenge of unmanaged forest residues. By driving investment in commercially viable, market-driven pellet production facilities, we bring together forestry owners, transport providers, energy companies, and investment partners to build a resilient value chain.

We target regions where residue management is a pressing social and political issue and where efficient plant siting can lower transport distances, creating value from what was once waste.

Our Vision

To turn a long-standing forestry challenge into an opportunity for sustainable energy and economic development.

Our Mission

To transform New Zealand's underutilized forest residues—including slash and low-grade logs—into a valuable, renewable energy resource.

1 MILLION TONS

Annual Production Capacity by 2030

National Decarbonization

Providing a renewable, drop-in fuel alternative to fossil fuels. White wood pellets are suited for retrofitting natural gas and coal boilers, enabling energy-intensive sectors like food/beverage processing, distilleries, and laundries to cut emissions faster.

Sustainable Forest Management

Transforming slash and low-grade logs—which often decompose and emit greenhouse gases—into valuable energy. This reduces environmental risks like erosion and runoff, supports compliance with slash management regulations, and encourages healthier forests.

Regional Economic Development

Creating opportunities across the value chain, including job creation in construction, operations, and transport logistics. This strengthens rural economies and increases forest land value through better residue utilization.

Building a Bridge to Domestic Viability

Leveraging short-term export demand to establish a strong commercial foundation, ensuring financial viability for early investors while securing the local supply chain for New Zealand's energy future.

Rooted in Aotearoa New Zealand's culture, these values guide every decision at OWP
